Many companies become more reliant on their supply chain and need to be able to manage change processes. Communicating the status of changes across many groups and departments inside the organization as well as to external partners is becoming a serious challenge.
Change management in Minerva PLM streamlines change requests, assessments and orders. It also ensures that users throughout extended supply chain have easy visibility into the engineering change status through the product lifecycle, where change histories are automatically captured and recorded.
Establish the Digital Thread for traceability across the enterprise
Poorly managed change processes affect the ability to reduce time to market and manage costs and can potentially hurt the ability to bring quality products to market faster.
Manage changes in Minerva PLM by handling two types of changes which both use a workflow process with signoff control.
- Gate review can be used to move a project through its different phases until it is finished. A check is performed so that no phase can close until all deliverables within it are closed.
- Design review is used to change the definition of an already finished project or a project which is in between phases.
- Improve ECO cycle times and reduce errors, delays, scrap and rework
- Avoid delays in product launch, improve product quality and reduce production costs.
